Sea Dragon gets a keel repair

We did a bit of damage to the keel to hull joint on Sea Dragon the last time we had her out.

I'm not sure whether it was making contact with the sandbar that sticks out a bit south of Fay Bainbridge State Park, Yup the same one that Migael Schearer says to stay well out from.

Or it may have happened when we were back at Shilshole and putting the boat back on the trailer. the trailer will have guides to help get the boat back on the trailer next time out.

Anyhow, it is grind the glass down, put a few layers of mat and resin on and then fair and paint.

Keel damage

I assume from the photo that your keel is a part of your hull overall and not bolted on. If not you should be sure to check your keel bolts to assure they are tight after such a beating.
